UPDATE: Tucson police identify victim of aparent homicide in midtown

TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - Investigators with the Tucson Police Department identified the woman who has found dead in her midtown apartment Thursday, May 21, as 28-year-old Monique Leon. Police are still searching for suspects.

Leon was found unresponsive in her apartment on North Oracle Road by her boyfriend at around 9 a.m. Thursday morning, according to a news release from TPD. Her boyfriend called first responders, who declared Leon dead at the scene.

Police say Leon’s three young children were at the apartment where her body was found, but all three were unharmed.

Leon was found with obvious signs of trauma, according to the release, but the apartment shows no signs of forced entry. Police interviewed Leon’s boyfriend and neighbors to find out what happened but are still searching for suspects.
