UPDATE: Missing Tucson man found dead following Silver Alert

TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - Jerry Harris, the 79-year-old man who was last seen on the northwest side, has been found dead, officials said in a news release Friday, July 31.

Harris had been missing since Tuesday, July 28, after he walked away from his assisted living facility on Ina Road and North La Canada Drive, according to a Silver Alert from the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

Officials with the Pima County Sheriff’s Department said in a separate release Harris’s body was found near Pomona Road in the morning hours of Friday, July 31. No suspicious circumstances were found, PCSD stated, but the county medical examiner’s office is still determining the cause of death.
